Honda Ultra-Quiet 2200i EU2200iTC 2200W Inverter Generator

The Honda Ultra-Quiet 2200i (model EU2200iTC) is the version of Honda's popular 2200-watt inverter generator sold in Canada. Its Honda GXR120 commercial series engine and Honda inverter deliver 2200 W of 120 V power (1800 W continuous) in a portable unit that weighs only 21.1 kg (46.5 lb), a convenient workhorse for any recreational task.

Built for Canadian conditions

Honda Cold Climate Technology™ comes standard: its exclusive breather heater system helps prevent generator shutdown in freezing conditions, so you are not left without power in the cold. Like all Honda generators sold in Canada, the EU2200iTC meets or exceeds Canadian Standards Association (CSA) safety and EPA emissions standards.

Clean power for sensitive electronics

Honda inverter technology smooths out the raw power of the engine into stable, high-quality electricity, like the outlets in your home, so you can run laptops and other sensitive electronics. A 12 V DC outlet (8.3 A) with the included DC charging cable lets you charge a 12 V battery. AC and DC output cannot be used at the same time.

Whisper-quiet and efficient

At 48 dB(A) at 25% load and 57 dB(A) at rated load, the EU2200iTC won't disturb your neighbours. Honda's Eco-Throttle™ system offers excellent fuel efficiency, with up to 8.1 hours of run time at 25% load on the 3.6-litre tank, or 3.2 hours at rated load.

Double your power

Connect the EU2200iTC with an Ultra-Quiet 2200i Companion (EU2200iTC1) for up to 4400 W maximum (3600 W rated) when you need more power.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the Canadian model?

Yes. EU2200iTC is the model code Honda uses in Canada for the Ultra-Quiet 2200i. It has Cold Climate Technology™ as standard and meets CSA safety and EPA emissions standards.

Can I connect two generators?

Yes. The EU2200iTC can be connected with an EU2200i Companion model for up to 4400 W maximum (3600 W rated).

How long does it run per tank?

Up to 8.1 hours at 25% load, or about 3.2 hours at rated load, on its 3.6-litre (0.79 Imp. gal.) tank.

How much does it weigh?

21.1 kg (46.5 lb), easy to carry.

Clean, stable power for sensitive electronics

Inverter technology keeps the EU2200i's output steady and free of the power spikes that can damage laptops, TVs, and other electronics, making it as comfortable powering a home office during an outage as it is running tools on a job site.

CO-Minder adds a critical safety layer

Built-in CO-Minder technology continuously monitors carbon monoxide levels near the generator and automatically shuts the engine down before CO concentrations become dangerous — an important safeguard when running a generator near a home, garage, or enclosed space.

Quiet enough for campgrounds and quiet neighborhoods

At just 48 dB(A) at a 1/4 load, the EU2200i runs quietly enough for campgrounds, tailgates, and residential use, while still delivering 10% more power than the previous EU2000i model in the same lightweight, portable frame.

Key features

• 1800W rated / 2200W maximum output
• CO-Minder automatic carbon monoxide shutoff
• Inverter technology for clean, stable power
• Runs up to 8.1 hours at 1/4 load on a 0.95-gallon tank
