STIHL BT 131 One-Person Gas Earth Auger – 36.3cc 4-MIX, Powerhead Only

The STIHL BT 131 is a one-person earth auger for landscapers, orchard and construction work — setting posts, digging planting holes and drainage shafts, or taking soil samples. It drills holes up to 300 mm in diameter.

4-MIX power, low upkeep

The 36.3cc STIHL 4-MIX engine produces 1.4 kW and runs smoothly with no oil servicing required. A long-life air filter with a large paper element extends cleaning intervals.

QuickStop drill brake

If the bit jams on a hard layer, the brake triggers as soon as the brake lever touches the operator's thigh. The bit stops immediately, and the brake also stops backward rotation so the bit can be unscrewed from the hole.

Designed for one operator

All engine controls sit in the left handle, the vibration-damped frame reduces fatigue, and a large hip pad rests against the body during drilling.
