About this product

The CS Unitec MAB 845 is a professional magnetic drill for structural steel, heavy fabrication and on-site work. It combines a 16-amp reversible motor, a 4-gear oil bath gearbox and a 6,600 lbs magnet with a base that adjusts to reach tight spots.

Wide speed range, precise torque

The 4-gear oil bath gearbox covers 40-110, 65-175, 140-360 and 220-600 RPM, and torque control is infinitely variable. That range lets you run large annular cutters slowly and smaller tools faster, and the double-insulated, reversible motor also supports tapping.

Big capacity in one machine

Drill holes up to 4-1/16 in. in structural steel, twist drill up to 1-1/4 in., tap up to 1-1/8 in. and countersink up to 2 in., all with a 10 in. stroke. The keyless quick-change cutter system takes 3/4 in. Weldon shanks.

Strong, monitored magnet

The magnet holds with 6,600 lbs of force. Magnet overheating protection, a visual magnet adhesion indication and an electronic safety shutoff sensor help you work with more confidence.

Adjustable base for awkward jobs

The base swivels 30 degrees left and right and moves 3/4 in. forward and backward, so you can position the cutter accurately in hard-to-reach areas. Internal cable routing keeps the machine tidy.
